Mark Puckett
Founder & Chief Executive Officer — Raxis
Thirty years in information security, spent mostly on the side of the people trying to get in.
Remembering Amanda Puckett
Briefly
I'm a cybersecurity practitioner and entrepreneur with more than thirty years in the information security field.
I was born and raised in Georgia, and I started Raxis in 2011 with a fairly simple idea: help companies improve cybersecurity with a team of ethical hackers that act as a real attacker would.
Raxis has grown into a leading penetration testing firm with clients across the US and overseas. The thing I've worked hardest to protect along the way is the culture. I want people who stay curious and keep learning, because attackers don't sit still and we can't either.
Lately most of my attention has been on AI and offensive security — what it genuinely speeds up in a test, what it quietly gets wrong, and how to tell those two apart. We are spending a lot of time integrating AI functionality into Raxis One while retaining the human element in our penetration tests.

What I work on
- 01Penetration testing & red teaming Adversarial assessment of corporate defenses — the discipline Raxis was founded to do well.
- 02AI-augmented offensive security Where machine assistance genuinely raises the ceiling on a test, and where it introduces confident nonsense.
- 03Building and leading the team Hiring people who are better than the problem, then keeping the culture worth staying for.
- 04Security as an enabler Making security the function that finds a way to say yes, rather than the one that reflexively says no.
